8.6.1. Maple products intended for retail must be sold in a small container. In the case of maple syrup, only “Category A” maple syrup may be sold at retail.
However, a large container may be used for keeping maple syrup graded “Category A” intended for retail in small containers provided by the consumer. In such a case, the large container must bear in conspicuous and legible characters at least 2 cm high, the inscriptions mentioned in subparagraphs a, c and d of the first paragraph of section 8.7.1. If these inscriptions do not appear on the large container, they must appear on a document given to the consumer at the time of the sale.
